An oven problem or an electric hob problem?
A freestanding cooker combines several functions. Tell us which oven cavity, grill or electric cooking ring is affected and whether the timer and display still operate. Include the full model and fuel type. Gas and dual-fuel appliances need separate confirmation and must not be booked as ordinary electric cooker work.
Freestanding does not mean easy to move
A cooker can have fixed connections or restraints and may sit tightly between kitchen units. Leave it in place and tell us about access to the rear or sides. Any changes to the electrical supply or surrounding cabinetry are outside a routine repair assessment unless specifically agreed.
Before the engineer visits
Specify whether the appliance is electric, gas or dual fuel. Gas-related work requires a suitably qualified engineer and must be confirmed separately.
The office will explain the visit charges and confirm an appointment. If additional parts or work are needed, the engineer discusses the options before proceeding. Repair suitability depends on the model, fault, condition and parts availability.
