How to find your appliance model number
The name on the front is often a range, not the full model. A clear rating-plate reference helps us prepare for a repair.
- Washing machines and dryers: check around the door opening. Some labels are on the side or rear; do not move a heavy appliance just to look.
- Dishwashers: look along the top or side edge of the open door.
- Ovens: check the frame around the door when the oven is switched off and cool.
- Fridges and freezers: look for a label on an internal wall, often near the salad drawers.
- Copy the complete model and any product or service number. If access is difficult, tell the office and we can help during the visit.
These are preparation tips, not instructions to dismantle or repair an appliance. If something is unsafe or difficult to access, leave it for the engineer.
